I Made a BIG 2x160" Belt Grinder (50x4000mm)
The other 2x72" belt grinder I made four years back has been the most used tool in my workshop ever since. So I decided to make a bigger one that can run belts up to 160" and features swappable arms for different wheels and attachments. The only parts I bought new for this build are the 12" contact wheel, pedal switch and concrete, all steel found at the scrap yard. Of course I also order custom sized belts (50x3500) in variuos grits, the 320grit one you see at the end I glued myself with ca and cloth and ended up breaking within the first 5min of use.
Design loosely inspired by «Bader Space Saver» grinder I have seen used by Matt and Ilya over @That Works. What looks like a great belt grinder that is still being sold here: www.stephenbader.com/product/bader-space-saver/
