Ever since I started my channel I had an arbor press on my wish list to restore. Not just because its an interesting good looking item, mainly because I want to have one in my shop. So I got very excited when my friend called me two weeks ago and told me that he has found one on the steel waste. Its a small Fehlmann arbor press, theyre very famous in switzerland for making the best ones.
I choose turquise blue for the main body and painted the letters black and I really like how to colour turned out. Unfortunately the table was missing, so I had to make a new one. I first planed to mill the slots on a CNC milling machine, but I couldnt get access to one in time so I decided to make it manually. It took some time to find a way to make them, took even more time to make them, but the endresult speaks for itself. It turned out absolutely perfect. I went with bluing on the gear part of the handle and sanded the handle itself. The name plate was from the previous seller of this press, its a well known seller for machines in Switzerland. As the plate was too damaged to use again, I decided to make my own „my mechanics“ plate out of aluminium. It took me three tries to get it to work and I ended up with a very nice and clean plate at the end. I went with a brushed finish for the name plate, as it fits the other finishes very well.
Overall Im very happy how the press turned out. I really like the contrast of the different colours and finishes and Im more than happy to finally own an arbor press in my shop. This tool will be very usefull and will for sure appear in future videos.

The A-10 Thunderbolt is also known as the Warthog, the ‘flying gun’ and the Tankbuster.
The A-10 is a high-survivability and versatile aircraft, popular with pilots for the ‘get home’ effectiveness.
The mission of the aircraft is ground attack against tanks, armoured vehicles and installations, and close air support of ground forces.
The A-10 is suitable for operation from forward air bases, with short take-off and landing capability. The aircraft has a long range (800 miles), high endurance and can loiter in the battle area.
The manoeuvrability at low speed and low altitude (below 1,000ft) allows accurate and effective targeting and weapon delivery over all types of terrain.
The GAU-8/A 30mm Gatlin gun iis installed on the U.S. Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft and the Navy’s Goalkeeper Close-In Weapon System. The GAU-8/A provides a reliable, high-rate-of-fire, combat-proven weapon for close air support and shipboard defense missions.
Each of the gun’s seven barrels contains its own breech bolt assembly, which fires once per gun revolution. This ensures long barrel life because firing loads are distributed over all seven barrels. Continuous rotary motion reduces impact loads on gun components, leading to long parts life and high reliability.
The A-10 aircraft is specifically designed to provide close air support. The GAU-8/A gun provides rapid response to threats that are in close proximity to friendly ground forces and is well suited for engagements inside missile envelopes.
In the Goalkeeper application, the GAU-8/A fires a lethal, high-kinetic-energy 30mm Missile-Piercing Discarding Sabot round.

Ремонт Фрезерного станка — я сам его сломал, сам и починил
Для обработки металла и вообще для хорошей мастерской нужен фрезерный станок.
Как многие из моих подписчиков уже видели, я повредил свой фрезерный станок и вся моя работа была остановлена.
Кстати сломать его было не легко, я пользуюсь этим фрезерным станком уже больше десяти лет, он проработал несколько сот часов.
Но когда я начал его использовать вместо пресса, то конечно это был предел и одна очень важная деталь этого станка дала трещину.
Из-за этой поломки вся моя работа остановилась и я не мог работать дальше, по этому я решил в первую очередь начать с ремонта моего фрезерного станка.

Кстати по пути к магазину где продают ленточные наждачки для шлифовального станка я наткнулся на очень интересную машину.
Я увидел своими глазами настоящую машину времени из фильма Назад в Будущее, увидев её я подумал, а что если я сделаю машину времени?
